Mission Statement
The mission of Berkeley School is to provide a strong academic program while addressing individual student needs in an environment which recognizes that education is the shared responsibility of the school, the home and the community. Berkeley School, as part of a multi-cultural community, strives to develop student respect for others, providing the opportunity to make a positive contribution in a changing world and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Calling all parents and guardians please help us celebrate our teachers with a full week of creative ideas to show our teachers how much they are appreciated! Feel free to participate daily or select the days you would like to participate and enjoy! The themes for the week are highlighted as follow:

Monday May 7: “We doughnut know what we’d do without you”.

It’s such a warm gesture to bring your teacher a sweet treat -maybe their favorite doughnut!

Tuesday May 8: Fan mail: “My teacher is a star because….”

Write a short letter to your child’s teacher explaining how their lives were touched during the 2017-2018 school year!

Wednesday May 9: Pictures are Worth a Thousand Words

Provide a picture to your child’s teacher to add to their keepsake books. Our children are growing so rapidly, help our teachers remember their uniqueness in the form of a picture!

Thursday May 10: When It’s Crunch Time, We Can Count on You-

Put a bag of crunchy treats and add a note of appreciation.

Friday May 11: “A Seed of Knowledge”

Teachers plant seeds of knowledge that will grow forever. Offer a seed packet or small potted plant.

Study Island

Berkeley School uses an online resource called Study Island to help students with standards mastery.  Two assignments are given to students in grades 3-5 each week.  Please have your child complete the next 2 assignments by March 29.  Go to www.studyisland.com and enter the username and password that was sent home.
